JUSSI LEINONEN location: Rovaniemi, Finland contact: jussi (a) strap-photos.com website: strap-photos.com/jussi portfolio: strap-photos.com/jussi/portfolio I like to watch, wait and see. To walk around in the ongoing time and space continuum, and to be able to squeeze life into frames as photographs. To me that is divine. Life itself is amazing, but when you have the power to capture life, a moment that will never happen again, it goes beyond amazing. Currently studying for master of arts in the University of Lapland, Finland. Open for assignments. |

PETRI UUTELA location: Lahti, Finland contact: puutela (a) gmail.com website: petriuutela.com Observing. Being like a fly on the wall. Observing things and getting close to the subject, but trying not to give the viewer the feeling that there is a photographer present. Trying not only to portray things objectively in a documentary way, but also using that same photography as a channel to express myself -- to produce "art". Combining successfully those things, that is the goal. Studying photography in the Institute of design, in Lahti, Finland. |
Note: If you contact us (and we hope you do!), please give your e-mail message a clear subject. Due to use of spam filters messages looking too "suspicious" will propably not reach our mailboxes. |

We are open for portfolios by young photographers from any part of the world. Scandinavia, Americas, China, Japan, Europe as a whole. Anything goes. As you might know, Strap is all about documentary photography, photojournalism and the art of the photo essay. You must work within this genre. Not all of your work must be in this field, but this is simply what Strap is about. Strap will not own your work, nor will it pay you, it is merely a place to portray work and maybe get influenced by other members. Membership is all about doing your part in being a member. Which means telling people about our work, contributing to whatever we do, being a friend, developing our work as a collective, etc. But basically it's about making kick ass photo stories. Send your portfolios as a PDF or a website URL to: jussi(a)strap-photos.com puutela(a)gmail.com We will simply say NO if we say NO. It doesn't mean your work isn't good, or even great. It's just not for us. We will let you know. If you have doubts about the quality of your portfolio, do not send it yet. Check out what we do, and if you think your work would be a great addition to our team, send us a message! |
