It is very difficult to photograph kids in general. But it's pretty damn hard to do it with a medium format twin lens reflex camera, with a close-up lens. You can't see shit in the finder, the depth-of-field is almost not there and these kids move, fast. Also shooting at 1/30th isn't helping.
It's hard and that's why I love it. And who cares about sharpness when you have a grin worth a billion.
