Rinteenkulma. 11 Nov 2008 BACK TO BLOG

The new Rinteenkulma shoppingcenter is the most tasteless place I've been to. Period. We're talking Rovaniemi, Lapland here. Why not brand it with reindeers, snow, northern lights, even santa or motherlovin' Lordi for chrissakes. NO.
The new Rinteenkulma has Roman columns and other Roman empire type shit and they have painted the roof like a blue sky. Holy shit. I don't know if that's all because I was there just a while. I'm so sad that every time they do something up here, they somehow blow it in a way you didn't even think was possible. Or is it just me who's not digggin' this?

I wonder why they have also found that floor right out of 70ies institutions. I have no clue what they were thinking and where are the architects?. it looks HORRIBLE. it looks old, dated and what not. and what is the deal with the roman columns+!? not related to anything else in there... perhaps the blue sky which is then OK... I can live with that sky though, but it clashes with the horrible flooring.

nein... but this is rovaniemi. somethings will never change.
