BACK TO BLOG |
As we were dining at my parent's house, devouring a delicious salmon dish, a huge bird ran across our yard. It was a Metso, Capercaillie in english. It flew to stand on a telephone wire. There is a local story about these birds that when they wander out of the woods, it is usually to tell humans that someone from that area is going to pass away. There had been a occasion when five of them were seen behind a house nearby and within about a month five elderly people had died. Sounds creepy, and it is.
