Mmmm more leftovers.. 14 May 2007 Posted by Jussi.

Howdy. I was in the darkroom and found a frame that looked interesting, it was a forgotten frame from the "my father" series you can see at strap-photos.com. I decided to print it and post it here. So here you go. It's from the hospital when my paps was there for a week because of a surgery. The hospital was in the middle of some renovation and there we're ducttape and plastic everywhere.

Whoa it was a busy day with Finland messing up in hockey and all that. I got in to working state of mind and finished my Photographic methodology project. It deals with how I spent money in december 2006. Go check it out here! It reveals what kind of a pig I really am. Don't expect that normal pulitzer winning photographic quality with this project..

This picture has both of my main dudes, Nokela and Veski enjoying a cup of coffee, or tea. Me, I don't drink coffee, or tea. I'm one of those hot chocolate type guys. I have never even properly tasted coffee and tea in my whole pathetic life. Maybe a little taste of both when I was about 5 years old little gangster. I'm not planning to start either.

These frames are something I thought were okay when I shot them. It turns out all they have to give is the fancyass crappy image quality. Sorry about that. I have to develop more some films I've shot to get better photos to post here. I'm busy for few weeks now and then it's all summer. I'm planning to practise my body and soul during the summer, to become a better man. Physically atleast. Enough being in bad shape and not exercising. Hahaha we'll just see about that..

Ja parhaimmat tulee säästettyä tuleviin Strap-projekteihin. Vielä pari viikkoa duunia ja hommia ja sitten alkaa kesän läpsyttely. Ajattelin kesällä kuntoilla itsestäni paremman miehen, aijjai. Woohaa today was the critique for my studio class. I wen't with fur/hair themed 12 photo series. Here is the full series slightly altered. The assignment was to shoot within the theme, use medium format for some part of it. I hope you like it, please contact me and buy prints and make your friends think you're cool and hip.

Suomeksi: Tänään oli studiokurssin kritiikki. Itsehän en studiossa osannut/jaksanut kuvata joten kuvasin itekseni pikkusalamoilla aivan uskomatonta paskaa. Tässä koko setti hieman muuteltuna kritiikistä. Leikkasin parit turhat kuvat pois ja korvasin eri kuvilla. Toivottavasti fiilistelette tuollaista graafista kakkaa, pistäkää mailia jos haluatte ostaa anopille fine art bullshit printtejä. Voin myös tulla maksusta heittämään ulostetta seinälle.

The mood, the texture and all that are very interesting and beautiful. I think I have to do a project on some old houses this summer, I'm not sure how to make it so it doesn't reek the artsy fotofinlandian odour of bullshit with the old wallpapers and all that shit being the essence of it. I have to come up with a whole new concept for something like this.

Today we have another picture from my grandparents' house, from the room of death.

Yep, this goes out to all you owls out there in the wild. This owl is dead but it doesn't really matter now. My grandpa was a ill dude, he killed about 5000 foxes during his life, and stuffed all kinds of dead animals, went to war, was a barber, a little bit of a drunk and all that cool shit. I never had a close relationship with him so it's nice to check out what he did with all of his weird gear.

This picture is from a series of pictures I'm doing for a school project, my theme is hair/fur. These 6x6 pics are supposed to be with ambient, natural light. I shot this with my kiev 60, the film advance is sort of messed up, but I'll have to patent my own methods to keep producing this kind of pulitzer prize winning material in 6x6 format.

Kuva on räpsästy kiev kuuskybäsellä, jossa näyttäisi olevan filminsiirto probleemia, pitänee patentoida homma kuntoon jotenkin. Siisti duunata keskikokoakin välillä, mukavaa vaihtelua. AAAAJJEE!

I was browsing my computer to find something to post for you guys and I found one shot from our exhibition opening that I haven't finished and posted yet. The exhibition is now over but hey, picture is a picture.
