I usually provide decent images, or at least something to dislike in this blog but now I've gone overboard. I put new griptape on my new skateboard and would like to share this important event.

I went through some scans and found this picture I never thought could live up to the other images we shot that weekend. I cranked it up "a bit" and this is what it is, can ya dig it? It is another collabo between me and my main man Nokela. I wish I had the money to pay Nokela for his amazing abilities and wonderful attitude. My wigga. Holy shit my place is a dump. This was taken about a week ago, when I got a new desk and some other shit that doesn't really fit my apartment. But hey all this stuff makes me happy so why not! And oh yeah, I've cleaned up since that so it's really nice now.

Once again I'm out of my home office and all my images lay in the external hard-drive. Fortunately I have some forgotten web images on my laptop and I can patch up some stuff for the blog. Today I have to go about 4-5 months back when I went to IKEA for the second time. I shot a photo story about the store opening, but the second time I was drained of ideas, I got only one decent picture and here it is.

Shooting for an acclaimed photo agency like Strap Photos unlimited sex mofos is a demanding task, not only for the artist but for the equipment too. You really have to have the latest in technology to achieve the amazing pulitzer images we create every day.

This summer I'm using a simple shitty camerabag with two 35mm bodies and a set of lenses. I never use the other body because it's loaded with slidefilm, has been for a while. I hate slidefilm so I don't know why I have it in the camera sometimes.
Current Strap assignments are being shot on 35mm color negatives, the cheapest I can get my hands on. I had to repair the other body with sinitarra because some motherfucker sold me a busted body. My lenses for this summer 35mm work include 50mm supertelephoto, 35mm normal, 24mm wide and a 16mm fisheye. The fish and the 50mm are lenses I pretty much never use for serious images. Fisheye doesn't work as a part of a story, it's just too much about the distortion and the effect which gets pretty boring after a while. So the regular wides are my favorite now, I'd die for the 24mm.
Also a serious photographer never forgets to pack something to drink while on the job. Yes please.

Here is a poorly (and a bit drunk focused) picture of my dear friend Jussi-paavo. I've known him for some years now and now he has moved out. Which means I won't be seeing him so much. Not that it's a change because Jussi-paavo found a girlfriend few months back and has been missing since. I'm glad that I got to know and spend time with Juspa, he is a fine man with good hygienic abilities. I hope him nothing but the very best, and I'm sure he will get it.

Yeap yeap today's picture is a skatepicture from last summer. It's my main man Nokela backside heeling at the Rovaniemi skatepark. Nothing more, nothing less. I remember there is a flash used in this picture. Mad lightning skills I gots!
Today was almost the first really sunny day here, feels nice for a change..

Yup! I found out that I can get a RSS feed off my blog. I really don't know what the hell it even is but there you go. Few people have asked for it and now you have it. Be happy and eat some cake.
Other than that I'm feeling stupid. I'm working on a photo story for Strap and have been getting a lot of really nice frames but.. I can't show them to you just yet. It's a whole summer long project and now I'm packing 8 frames I'm pretty happy with. This is from two rolls, I can't even imagine what kind of agony and hell I have to go through in the fall to pick the right frames from the huge body of work I propably will have.
Enough with the bs, here's my moms:

Minulla olisi paljon kuvia joita postitella blogiin, mutta pidän niitä piilossa. Ovat nimittäin osa syksyllä julkaistavaa Strap artikkelia. Kuvaan siihen koko kesän, alkaa jo pelottaa miten käyn materiaalin läpi ja valikoin ne pulitzer kuvat.. mm. Kuvassa upea äitini, maailman hienoin nainen.

Yeah yeah. I got some films developed today, one was a double exposure film photographed at Radio Säteily's Juhannustanssit party. I shot the roll, then rewinded it and put it back in and shot it again. I scanned the whole spectacle at school and I think it's very interesting if nothing else. 28 images all on top of eachother. See the whole deal here.

Howdy. I was in the darkroom and found a frame that looked interesting, it was a forgotten frame from the "my father" series you can see at strap-photos.com. I decided to print it and post it here. So here you go. It's from the hospital when my paps was there for a week because of a surgery. The hospital was in the middle of some renovation and there we're ducttape and plastic everywhere.
