I'm leaving to southern Finland on saturday, which is two days from now. I'm taking a holiday from the almighty internet, atleast with all the mandatory stuff like updating the blog. Don't get scared though! I'm preparing pictures and putting them on the "automatic-thingy" to update every day while I'm out! Well almost every day so check me out then too! Today's pic is a girl I saw at Simerock. Unlike the others she laughed and smiled when noticed that I took a photo.

Almost forgot my blog because I've had so much importat stuff to do, like read comics on the balcony and drink wine. I love summer, don't get me wrong I hate the hot weather and sun too but in the evening it's cool. Today we have Paula from PMMP. She rules.

Howdy. Just popping in to post a Simerock leftover about some girl checking out which toilet isn't shitfloored and vomitcovered. Word! I can only imagine how trashy toilets like that are on the last day of the festival.

I've got more pictures of PMMP from Simerock, so why not post them here. Actually I'm pretty disappointed with myself how the pictures turned out, I didn't quite get what I wanted for the photo story but let's blame that on .. well me being too excited, you know being so close to the girls. Shit like that makes your hands sweat, shake and pretty much stop working.

Vika löytyy siitä että kun on noinkin lähellä moisia esiintyjiä niin kai siinä kädet tärisee ja hikoaa. Hah. Ihania naisia.

It's been couple of days scanning, finishing, hallucinating and just going crazy, but it's done now. So without further yadda yadda, please check the story on Simerock, a rock festival held here in the arctic circle of Lapland.

The Simerock thing is over. 3 days, 6-7 rolls of film (yeah I was saving and planning my stuff). Tomorrow I'm going to get all of them developed, which pretty much makes me scared shitless. I hope they're all good. Today's pic is of my friend Eltron, shot at the courts in Puistola, Helsinki (it is Helsinki is it?).

This is a oldie I forgot about. You know I hate slidefilm, especially with my scanner. It's from a party at Marjukka's old place, it was also the very first day I met Jussi-paavo. Whoa. I still hate that slidebullshit though.

Howdy. I'm tired as hell and it hurts my wrist to type (it's not what you think), but I was shooting at Simerock festival today. Young Finns at their best, drunk as fuck, vomiting around and ignoring music. I hope nobody gets raped or killed. What's with kids and alcohol on these festivals.. What's the point when all you remember is the worst hangover of your life and maybe some blood on your panties. Hooray!

Strappiin tulossa fotoessee asian tiimoilta parin viikon sisään, sitten pidän lomaa valokuvista pari päivää. I've noticed that when I'm secretly trying to take a picture and capture people with their guards down I have this way of looking like I'm photographing someone/something else instead. It looks like I haven't even noticed them and the photographs even suit my style, you know I'm big with keeping the bokeh area in the front.

This image was shot during my trips to Sodankylä for the Midnight Sun filmfestival. There was a charming old lady behind us in this extremely expensive crappy cafe, I managed to take a picture of her drinking coffee.
Suomeksi: Päivän kuva on salaisesti ja kierosti napsaistu kuva vanhasta rouvasta kahvilla Sodankylässä. Nokkelana yritin näyttää siltä etten kuvaisi häntä vaan edessäni istunutta Johannaa. Onnistuin hienosti ja jos kuva olisi suurempi, saisi siitä ehkä selvääkin!

I'm back from my trip to Kemi to see my favorite girls and family. I'm also 6 posts late from congralutating my ass for 100 blog posts! I rule. If you'd like to buy me a present too celebrate this event, I suggest you get me an iPhone when it hits europe next year. Have you seen how cool photographs are on that damn thing?! Carrying all my work on my phone/ipod, and being able to showcase photoessays and all that with amazing detail and brightness. Mmm. Today's pic is of some scattered flowers in Sodankylä.
