I shot some pictures for an article on Ranua in the new Lapin ylioppilaslehti. Some of the pictures are from my earlier visit to Ranua zoo, luckily I had some frames of the bears because the weather on the actual visit was so bad that the animals literally were hiding from both the weather and my camera.

These are from a The Danes gig in Tivoli last week. I liked the show, but the guitarist told me later that it wasn't that great and that he made mistakes because it was the first gig in a while. But who gives a shit with this kind of music and everybody is drunk anyway? All you need to do is look cool, bong bong.
Oh shit five pictures on the same day, hotdamndiggity. As you can see these were taken with my digital G5 so some highlight fuck-up can be seen but once again, who cares? Maybe next time I know my camera well enough not to forget the exposure compensation on the plus side. Blaah!

You know these pictures? You're testing something new and anxious to see the results, you vigorously try to find something to shoot just to get to the end of the roll. That's when the feet come along. Hah.
Sorry for the bad print, I was rusty. Not that the negatives out of the Kiev-60 are worth any praise either.

Since you have nothing to do, why don't you read An interview with Garry Winogrand written by Barbara Diamondstein few years before Winogrand died of cancer. Winogrands idea of photography is very inspiring and interesting to try and apply to your own work.

Click to enlarge. This is one of those sad experiments with the Kiev-60 6x6 + 35mm film. Luckily two frames blended nicely together and the whole roll wasn't just plain garbage.

About time to go snowboarding again. Woohoo! This is a picture I had forgotten. We took it last winter during Pyhä deepsnow photoshoot contest. The light was amazing and lohipizza was not. Believe me, do not eat lohipizza if you are very drunk. It will pop out the wrong way.

I went to Tivoli bar reluctantly after almost 6 months break just to get robbed 5 euros to get in and eat free buns. The band was OK, but I don't know if I have any good pictures of them playing. This picture is just few seconds before the Danes (?) started playing.

I put some 35mm negative to my Kiev-60 medium format camera. It was a disaster to handle, focus and carry but some pictures turned out OK, but some later frames on the roll had overlapped horribly. I'll have to print out couple of those pictures later to see if there is any sense to this project. A poor man's xpan, hah.
Our school darkroom didn't have glass negative holders so that's why the edges look blurry, well this is a pretty bad print anyway. However it got me excited about darkroom again, gotta go back soon!
