Howdy. I'm tired as hell and it hurts my wrist to type (it's not what you think), but I was shooting at Simerock festival today. Young Finns at their best, drunk as fuck, vomiting around and ignoring music. I hope nobody gets raped or killed. What's with kids and alcohol on these festivals.. What's the point when all you remember is the worst hangover of your life and maybe some blood on your panties. Hooray!
Oh yeah, this picture is a leftover from Sodankylä Filmfestival, I hope you like it.

Suomeksi:Moro. Olin tänään kuvaamassa Simerockissa vähän musaa ja paljon juopuneita teinejä. Palakittee. Strappiin tulossa fotoessee asian tiimoilta parin viikon sisään, sitten pidän lomaa valokuvista pari päivää. Päivän kuva on ylijäämä matskua Sodankylän Vilmivesteiltä, jäi pois setistä kun toimii ainoastaan väreissä, jos toimii siis. Klikkaa isommaksi.

I've noticed that when I'm secretly trying to take a picture and capture people with their guards down I have this way of looking like I'm photographing someone/something else instead. It looks like I haven't even noticed them and the photographs even suit my style, you know I'm big with keeping the bokeh area in the front.

This image was shot during my trips to Sodankylä for the Midnight Sun filmfestival. There was a charming old lady behind us in this extremely expensive crappy cafe, I managed to take a picture of her drinking coffee.
Suomeksi: Päivän kuva on salaisesti ja kierosti napsaistu kuva vanhasta rouvasta kahvilla Sodankylässä. Nokkelana yritin näyttää siltä etten kuvaisi häntä vaan edessäni istunutta Johannaa. Onnistuin hienosti ja jos kuva olisi suurempi, saisi siitä ehkä selvääkin!

I'm back from my trip to Kemi to see my favorite girls and family. I'm also 6 posts late from congralutating my ass for 100 blog posts! I rule. If you'd like to buy me a present too celebrate this event, I suggest you get me an iPhone when it hits europe next year. Have you seen how cool photographs are on that damn thing?! Carrying all my work on my phone/ipod, and being able to showcase photoessays and all that with amazing detail and brightness. Mmm. Today's pic is of some scattered flowers in Sodankylä.

I've taken a lot of pictures of feet. Some dudes claim that I'm just merely falling down with the camera accidentally going off. Naah. There is a lot to say about someone from their shoes and how they place their feet on the ground. I'm not one of those who try to "show it all", I'm all about wanting to show shit to look at and get it yourself. I'm not a fan of explaining in images. I think that is just plain boring. Sometimes there is nothing, sometimes there is something really cool there. Today we just have a nice pair of feet. Nam.

Suomeksi: Olen kuvannut paljon jalkoja. Ehkä se on joku pakkomielle tai sitten vain pidän siitä miltä jalat näyttää. Joskus niistä näkee todella paljon kiinnostavia juttuja, eikä kuvaan vaadita muuta. On myös joskus sanottu että meikä kaatuilee kuvatessa ja kamera laukeaa vahingossa. EEE. Tykkään että kuvat ovat visuaalisesti tasapainoisia ja että niissä on asioita joita katsoa ja ehkä jopa tajuta omillaan. En välitä kuvista jotka näyttävät kaiken ja selittävät kädestäpitäen mistä on kyse. Tänään kuvassa on kuitenkin vain jalat.

Johanna moved to a new apartment and I took some pictures during the process. I'll post these during the next 3-4 days. First one is about checking out the new place, woohoo. Plus check out the light leak! That bullshit almost ruined my film festival story! Made my heart jump when I saw the negatives..

When shooting shit like skateboarding, one needs a motivator. For a motherlover like myself that motivator is alcohol. So you need a bag where to fit, your camera, needed lenses and flashes you will need to create images someone whill not hate to death + you have to carry your wine.
