It's the end of the year 2008. And what this means to your humble author, the leinoun, is to start thinking about how to get paid the next summer.

I want to go back to Kokkola to shoot for Keskipohjanmaa, because last summer was great. I had the chance to work with great people who I now consider my friends. It would be easy to go back, just hop on the saddle.

But I also would like to be closer to my lady and my folks here in northern Finland.

And to make it even harder, I also would like to apply to bigger papers in the south to see if they like my work. But that would be even further away from people I love here in the northern Finland.

Sheesh. Like I don't have enough on my mind!

I'm currently out of office and don't have any pictures with me, nor have I taken pictures during the holidays.. I was browsing my laptop in search of something to post and found these two pictures shot @ ISO25600 just for the hell of it. Holy shit.
What this means is that if I need to go and pull some ridiculous shit like ISO25600, I can. Holy bananas. Yeah it will look harsh on a bigger print, but harsh is fine if you need the shot. Damn.
Think about shooting @ 25600 or even 12800 with a 1.8 lens? Screw flashstrobes, get a box of matches.

I just ordered this picture as a 75x50cm print for my parents. It will be placed above their bed, with the dog looking down while they sleep. I hope it works out, this dog was our family member for almost 15 years so he deserves to be remembered as one.
