Last wedding of the summer for me. I've known the groom since I was maybe five, he was three. We blew up matchbox cars together, maybe because he thought that majorettes were superior. I feel great joy when watching these pictures, and I'm really happy for them!

Couple of posts ago I told you about Photogene, a photo editing app for the iphone. One, very handsome, regular reader asked for some before/after shots. Here you go: I edited this pic with my iphone in maybe 30 seconds while munchin' on some cheeseburgers. Additionally I could have also rotated, cropped, etc.

The app goes for 2,39 euros in the appstore. Basically what this means for a photog is that you can improve the quality of yours snaps in the phone before mailing them out to your friends.

I was contacted by Olympus Finland representative and asked if I wanted to try out their new camera, EP-1. Which I was very curious about, since my experience with small cameras has been pretty shitty. After all these dinky small sensor cameras from Canon and Nikon, the Olympus feels great in my hands. I don't like the 2x crop sensor, but it's miles superior to what others try to trick us into buying. More about this later..

Sain yhteydenoton Suomen Olympukselta, josko haluaisin testata uutta EP-1 kameraa. Otin tarjouksen innolla vastaan, koska kokemukseni pienten digikameroiden kanssa ovat olleet heikkoja. Olympus tarjoaa jämäkän rungon, jonka sisällä on Canonin ja Nikonin rupukameroita suurempi kenno (silti 2x crop). Kamera tuntuu ja näyttää hyvältä. Toivottavasti tämä kamera avaa pelin ja muutkin valmistajat tajuavat pistää pienempiin kameroihinsa kunnollisia kennoja. Lisää tästä Olystä myöhemmin..

Those of you out there with iphones, go to the appstore and buy Photogene app. It has all you need to edit photos from the iphone. I snapped this last night coming home from a sophisticated meeting of friends, and edited it in 15 seconds. The app has color control, exposure, contrast, levels, sharpening, and a lot of shit you might not even need. Not bad for a mobile application!
