Today, I spent couple of hours with my "horseman" camera setup in Lahti ski game area. I don't have accreditation and I am not "working" there, so I had the chance to do some experimenting.

Lonely skier trying to catch the fading sun (...deep...).

Spectator of ski jumping right after jury decided cancel the jumping in the big jump and start it all over again in the smaller jump ( jump¿). The cancelling of the round happened just before it was Harri Olli's turn. He is the hot name today in that sport, because of his wild comments in media and I guess Finnish people are also excited to see him jumping.

During my photographic life I've shot 3 weddings. I'd do more if people would respect the work of a photographer to compensate his two days of work with enough payment. Usually they ask for your offer, and then let you know that they found out that their cousin will be doing the shoot. Thanks.
Or some photog is willing to sacrifice two days of his/her life for measly couple of hundred euros. Thanks.

I like shooting wedding because it's good practice for the eye, and the finger. I like working on the edge, there is very little room for failure in the way I work in weddings. I don't go about telling people what to do, I try to be invisible. Lightning is usually very extreme case of bad and you just have to work with it.

And the food is usually great.

I think, I just came up with a new idea for a project because of this picture. Naturally, I will not tell you now what it is, haha. By posting this here, it maybe stays as a reminder to myself to do this project... I remember taking this picture and thinking, that what is it that was interesting in this scene, but I was not able to tell it... Usually, I don't find (my own) pictures without people in them so interesting, but still I have taken quite a lot of them and not used them anywhere. Often I have the feeling that I need to take the shot, but when I see the negatives I don't know what to do with the pictures. Now I think I know how to connect the dots and make these work for me... (Ok, maybe this post didn't make any sense to anyone else except for me...)
